…and Jesus is still the ANSWER!

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.  When God told Mary she would give birth to the Saviour, she was told to call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.  John the Baptist even said, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

THE COMPLICATION

SIN is the complication. So, what is sin? Well, God says that all unrighteousness is sin and therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. Simply put, sin is anything we do that offends God and goes against His word.

But where did it come from and what’s the big deal?  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Because of Adam’s sin in the Garden of Eden, everyone born afterwards has a sin nature, and the wages of our sin is death, both physical death and spiritual death. Our sin makes us condemned in God’s eyes and whosoever dies under God’s condemnation will spend an eternity in darkness and the lake of fire, which are prepared for the devil and his angels.

THE SOLUTION

But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound because God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. For the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

But now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. For Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and he was buried, and he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

These things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation [sacrifice] for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

ITS YOUR CHOICE

God has given every person the choice to be forgiven of their sins and escape the eternal penalty of Hell, or to remain under condemnation and suffer torments and everlasting destruction. It’s YOUR choice! He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.  For we know the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

THE RESULTS OF CHOOSING JESUS

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.  God has given us His word to open our eyes, and to turn us from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that we may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith.  Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
